Joshua Shai Martinez was born in Mexico City and raised in Pasadena, California. He attended Polytechnic and Sotomayor High Schools before earning a degree in Global Studies from UC Santa Barbara. He has a strong international focus, having spent substantive time in Istanbul, Naples, Morocco, and Sicily. He is fluent in Spanish and English. Joshua’s work at Pais Montgomery Fiduciary centers on interpersonal connection and compassionate support for clients with diverse physical and psychological needs. His experience in care-focused roles has reinforced his belief that compassionate, relational work benefits everyone. Joshua plans to pursue further studies in education and sociology, with the goal of becoming a teacher working with high school students and young adults.
